This year is a bad year. There are a lot of non-promotions. I thought my level is quite bad, but I think the level just above is even worse. There are a lot of shocking non-promotions. It's sending some wrong signals. Why are dedicated and technically competent people not rewarded? The recent atmosphere is solemn and gloomy. I really don't like such a atmosphere. When people come and congraulate me, I felt a bit awkward..
