Today is day tour to Fraser Island. We woke up pretty early as the day tour pick up timing is 6.30am. This is the highlight of our whole trip as it's something which is more unique. Fraser Island is a sand island and is listed as a world heritage site. The driver, Peter was very friendly which really made this day tour much more enjoyable.  We had found the day tour, Fraser Island Adventure tour via an online search and I really would recommend this day tour to my friends. The whole tour wasn't too rushed and the driver wouldn't rush us. The lunch was quite good. The driver had rotated us on the front seats so that everyone had a chance to have a unblocked view of the beach.

After picking up a few more passengers who were staying in other parts of sunshine coast, our 4WD headed for the beach. It was still early and hence, the ocean wasn't so beautiful.

Our first stop for the day was the Red Canyon. This is a coloured sand area.

As we woke up too early, all 3 of us dozed off for a short nap before we reached the Rainbow Island to cross over to Fraser Island.

(We had to cross the ocean via the barge. We could climb up to the viewing gallery and enjoyed the scenery and the breeze)

(Freshwater creek- As this is a world heritage site, no dams can be built and the freshwater just go to waste as it flow into the ocean.)

The driver then drove through the rainforest (that grew on the sands) and eventually stopped at the Mckenzie lake. This is a beautiful, pristine lake. According to the driver, the lake water can clean the rust off accessories..
